Below is a basic run down of what is covered on lessons this can change based on the abilities of the driver, weather, construction etc.
Lesson 1: Is basics meant for someone who has done little to no driving. Going over vehicle controls,
starting, stopping, pulling over to and away from the curb.
Lesson 2: y-turns (sometimes called a 3 point turn). Driving in heavier traffic. intersections protected and unprotected (turn arrow vs now turn arrow). Reminders about watching mirrors, and being aware of traffic around us.
Lesson 3: Parking lots and basic parking lot etiquette. Lane changes, verbally go over uphill and downhill parking.
lesson 4: Parallel parking, advanced defensive driving techniques along with review of previous lessons.
lesson 5: Freeway driving. This can only be done with students who have good vehicle control, are able to check their blind spot and switch lanes while maintaining speed and lane position, as well as listen to understand and react accordingly to verbal commands from their instructor.
lesson 6: Mock road test. The instructor will give the student a practice road test let them know if they would have passed or failed and what they need to fix to pass their test.

This is not everything covered on a lesson just the a basic idea of what students who are practicing between lessons and are able to move on from basics will be learning on each lesson.
